Announcing the Photo Mode contest #AW2Photography
Since the launch of Alan Wake 2 last October, we’ve greatly enjoyed all the screenshots our community has shared on social media, and earlier this month, we gave you all the tools to capture even more creative screenshots with the Photo Mode. All Alan Wake 2 players received the Photo Mode as a free update.
To celebrate the launch of Photo Mode, we are excited to announce our #AW2Photography contest where we invite community members around the world to submit their best Photo Mode shots for a chance to win great prizes! The competition runs from June 17th 2024, 6pm EEST until July 8th, 2024, midnight EEST.
In order to enter the #AW2Photography contest, entrants need to submit a virtual photograph taken in-game, using the Alan Wake 2 Photo Mode, on Instagram or Twitter / X and include the hashtag #AW2Photography in the body of the post.
3 winners will be chosen by a jury of Remedy Entertainment employees which includes Principal Concept Artist, Juhani Jokinen, Lead UI/UX Designer, Riho Kroll, and Art Director, Janne Pulkkinen. Winners will be notified via Instagram or Twitter / X DM so make sure you follow @alanwakeofficial on Instagram and @alanwake on Twitter / X.
These are the prizes for the contest:
- First place: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4090 GPU Founders Edition courtesy of NVIDIA
- Second place: Makia x Alan Wake Cultist longsleeve + The Art and Making of Control book
- Third place: Airam x Alan Wake thermos in a signed box + Oh Deer Diner mug charm
To access Photo Mode in Alan Wake 2, simply pause the game and select “Photo Mode”. Then play around with all the different settings until you’re happy with the results and use the “Take A Picture” button. Note that you cannot access Photo Mode during cinematics.
Don’t be afraid to experiment and think outside the box, just like Alice Wake would. We are looking for originality, artistry, and individuality. And we won’t say no to weirdness either.
