We are proud to say that with this update, which should be landing on the Epic Games Store right about now, Alan Wake 2 will be the first video game to feature NVIDIA RTX Mega Geometry Technology, available on all GeForce RTX GPUs and laptops.

Furthermore, we’re happy to upgrade Alan Wake 2 with DLSS 4 with Multi Frame Generation. The use of DLSS 4 with  Multi Frame Generation means Alan Wake 2 can be played with full ray tracing at maximum settings at up to over 230 FPS at 4K on the new GeForce RTX 50 Series GPUs.

All GeForce RTX users will benefit from the upgrade to DLSS 4, with the new NVIDIA DLSS transformer AI model now used by DLSS Super Resolution, DLSS Ray Reconstruction, and DLAA.

You can see all this in action in the video below:

The new PC update for Alan Wake 2 also includes a new Ultra quality level Ray Tracing present, which adds fully ray-traced reflections, fully ray-traced transparent reflections, and higher quality fully ray-traced indirect lighting.

If you’d like to really get into the technology before this update and how it all exactly works, head to the GeForce article.

PC players, make sure your copy of Alan Wake 2 is updated to the newest version, and then look for the new settings in the Display and Ray Tracing options menu, as seen below:
